Brothers was great. "Sinister Kid" is killer. That slide guitar is amazing. You can tell he took some tips from duane allman

Yeah, loved Brothers. But Rubber Factory is their best piece of work in my opinion.

But only their earlier work. I think their last albums are a bit too simple. I love Attack & Release, ThickFreakness, Rubber Factory. And I think Chulahoma is absolutely epic. |
Their older work is probably better overall, and yet i find myself coming back to Brothers.
Attack and Release is one of my favourite albums. |
I heard brothers and I thought 'not bad, but can't be bothered'.
Then I was on skype with a friend of mine and she was listening to some absolutely epic music. I asked her what it was. Black Keys. Asked her to turn it up, then went to the store and bought 3 albums in one go http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...tjes010611.jpg There you go :) |

The only songs I really like on Brothers are Everlasting Light(love it though), Tighten Up, and Sinister Kid. The rest are really samey and boring.

I think they're a great band!
I can't stop listening to lonely boy. |
I`m a fan! I have....
The Big Come Up `02 Rubber Factory `04 Attack And Release `08 Brothers `10 And Dan Auebach`s Keep It Hid `09 To fill out my collection I need.... Thickfreakness `03 Magic Potion `06 El Camino `11 I rarely try to own every album by a artist or band but The Black Keys are a exception! |
You need chulahoma! Probably their best work :).
I've got Rubber Factory, Attack & Release Chulahoma and Magic Potion on vinyl. Still want Thickfreakness and The Big Come Up. I don't really like Brothers and El Camino. Their later work lacks the blues feel. |
