I suppose you're trying to imply I only listen to emo, and very depressing music which is complete bullshit, I listen to a variety of music. From your precious Pantera, to Michelle Branch. Thats pretty stupid, seeing as one you havn't even been a member that long, and two you probaly have no clue what I even listen to.

I rarely listen to emo anymore, though I still put on Circle Takes The Square and the Blood Brothers, who are emoish. Infact, my music taste lately has been pretty upbeat lately seeing as my current favorite band is HelloGoodBye who are anything but depressing.

I find it funny you would make that comment, when your crappy metal band whines in a manner that would make hawthorne heights jealious. "The pig ascends as I sink deeper seething misanthropic waiting for my death." Now not only do those lyrics suck, but they're pretty bitchy.

So please, before you try and make a stab at music taste, for one make sure you even know what it is. Two examine your own.

any.
Gonna have to disagree. Metalcore can be fun.

But go listen to At The Gates - Slaughter Of The Soul

every Metalcore band ever steals every idea they have from that album. Plus it's all D, A, or G minor.

I was reading the Funeral Doom thread and thought WTF is Funeral Doom Metal?

First off, how many freaking "sub-genres" are there?

I'm only familiar with Metal. You know... Turn it up to eleven, yell, scream and make a lot of freaking noise metal. The kind parents use to call evil, white noise!

I like Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Overkill, Nailbomb, Sepultura, Rob (White) Zombie, Metallica, etc... I guess all I am familiar with then would be what is called "Thrash" Metal. SO what does Type O fall under? Sepultura? Nailbomb? Rob Zombie? I'm SO confused, can someone help me?

Good time to check the Metal - Ed thread then

The Black Sabbath sound is representitive of doom and stoner. Though BS themselves are not necesarily so. Iron Maiden is your Power Metal fix. J-Priest are mainly just referred to as Heavy Metal. Metallica, Overkill, Slayer for your Thrash. Rob Zombie for your Industrial Metal. Sepultura has some Death Metal about them, also some Thrash.

I don't know about Nailbomb.

I read the Metal - Ed thread. Wow! Lots to know. I really never cared much for the Death metal stuff. I have a Cannibal Corpse album, it's yucky! I have one Obituary Album. I only like the first song on it. I have numerous Sepultura Albums, but I dig them.

BTW... Nailbomb was Sepultura and Fudge Tunnel together. It's just some really crazy stuff! They only made two albums. Point Blank and Proud To Commit Commercial Suicide. The later was just a live version of Point Blank.

Feels good to be a punk loser!

Here is what I could find about Nailbomb.
