I agree about JD's voice. Its too raspy, but its not the put off for me. Hell, I can listen to an hour of Burton C. Bell or Phil Anselmo.......Davis' voice is just too....man, I dunno how to describe it.
I will give props to the drummer. He has some decent talent to him. And I will also agree the bass is too overpowering. Its too slap happy. That works for Les Claypool, but thats because he has more to it than slapping a few chords over and over again.If you are going to have your bassist so up front and in focus with his sound, then he needs more substance to his music (ala, Claypool, Flea or Justin Chancellor.) And also, I think it's stupid that they have 7 string guitars. Might as well just be playing on 4 of them since that's all they do.
Same goes with the bass. Cut it to 4 strings.....
