i think his new song "cellphones dead" is really good personally.

Cellphone's dead is freakin awesome!! the robotic beat and his white-boy rapping is smooth as shit, the coolest track on the album, and the cheap ass retro video on the DVD fits it perfectly....

I love beck's new album, so different from the previous one, to me it seems a lot more intense, and in my opinion its better.

Beck is musically talented..I dont like a lot of his stuff but that doesnt make him any less talented.

"i'm a loser baby, so why dont you kill me"

I think he needs to edit his work better.

He seems to have an album out all the time and there doesn`t seem to be any direction at all.

It`s all very well doing that but I think his material suffers for it , since Odelay I can only find around 3 or 4 songs on an album that are likeable.

I think he once was interviewd and someone called him out on the lack of direction and he said "good..music doesnt need direction it just needs to make you feel"

Or some emo crap like that.

If 60% of his material wasn`t rubbish (I`ll go with Swims evaluation here) I`d agree with him.

I like is earlier stuff...its was edgy at its time of conception plus it was a little more rock and roll less weird and unrhythmical (if thats word I dont know)...

I'm really surprised but how much i'm liking Sea Change right now since I always thought Loser was one of the most annoying songs ever. Round the Bend, Lost Cause and Paper Tiger were probably my favorite songs.

Lost cause is the only song I really liked on that album. The rest is kinda bland...
