I love Beck, my favorite album of his is Sea Change. Very mellow material, but great.

My favourite Beck album is Mutations.

I could never decide a favourite ever album, but whenever I'm asked, Mutations by Beck is always my first thought.

I'm bumping this, because Beck is god and he needs more attention round here.

It's funny, I was looking back on comments I left on this in like, 2006? I said Mellow Gold was the worst thing he's ever done, whilst I was also less than enthusiastic about Sea Change.

I was clearly musically challenged in 2006, because in 2011 I now firmly believe that both Mellow Gold and Sea Change are at least 9/10 albums. To be honest the guy has never released a bad album in my opinion, from Golden Feeling right through to Modern Guilt. Incredibly consistent, which again directly contradicts my misinformed statements of 2006!

I've never actually given Beck much of a chance. I really need to change that...

She meant to slap him for his name: "Beck Hansen", that's his name.
And there's nothing wrong with Beck at all... It's always subjective to judge which album/song is best. So if u like "Mellow Gold" there's nothing wrong with it.

How about being instrumental in getting Hanson a record deal , which is what I was originally referring to
