It's not like his early albums were veiled conversion attempts and it's not like his later albums have taken on a big religious bend since his personal beliefs have become public knowledge.
So why anyone has a hard time taking him seriously now aside from ignorant bigotry is beyond me.

You view Scientology as a established religion, I still view it as a very profitable cult.
I used to like Craig Mack ( early 90's bad boy label rapper) but you could understand why I can't value his lyrics-a product of his outlook on life, when he now resides with a Christian Cult leader "Brother Stair"?
I judge music on my ability to resonate with it. Some have posted his nonsensical lyrics, saying he's intentionally not trying to be taking seriously, I disagree with this.
"Im a loser baby, so why don't you kill me" was a great generational message, similiar to radioheads creep. However, when you picture him writing that after being e-readed, and believing he can manipulate objects with his mind it absolutely loses it's value to me. I'm admittedly ignorant in that respect.

I try my damndest to ignore the scientology. I've spent time thinking about what made him go that route. Why?!? I can't really get my head around it. Makes me think he's been brainwashed and that some of his songs are him trying to reach out to the fans for help :D

Maybe the church of Scientology initially helped fund his music? It sounds ludicrous, but this cult does keep tabs on all it's members.
