Love me a bit of Beck. Hard to say which is my favourite album... At a stretch I would say Odelay. Just too many great tracks.

But Beercan is my favourite individual track just for the line "Winos throwing frisbees at the sun".

I've been listening to Midnite Vultures for past two months. Never got around to listening to any of his other albums until today, 'cos I was enjoying it so fucking much. Listening to Mellow Gold now. God I love this man.

He's probably one of the least appreciated people out there. Not that he isn't loved, but because he's on par with some of the biggest names in the history of music and he doesn't get that sort of recognition. He's at least as good as Prince and I think better.

After thinking I was on top of my Beck, I came across the album Western Harvest Field By Moonlight and the fantastic "Totally Confused". This track has been my new favorite Beck for the last few months. I just thought I'd mention it.

"Put me in a suitcase ... with a can of beer </openbeer>"

And I also came across this track while looking for new Beck:

It's called Harry Partch and I suppose it's supposed to be a tribute or some such to legendary microtonal musician Partch... but the comments suggest that Beck isn't employing microtonal techniques here and some say he is, and doing it better than the Partch. I don't really know much about the concept itself. I think I know the gist of it..... but anyway it is a nice, if not different, Beck track I must say.

Midnite Vultures has an undeservedly bad rep - many claim it's his "worst" album

i think it's a bit unfocussed but still not too bad

One foot in the grave is simply incredible. I don't think that he could ever top that album. On a different note, I really enjoy Sea Change. Basically Beck is awesome.

I love the guy's albums, but he's all kinds of awful live.
