Best Drummer

Carey is by far the most overrated drummer of all time. My favourite drummer always changes. Being a drummer for almost 20 years now, I never really had a clear favourite. I like Portnoy but he doesn't amaze me as much as Henry Ranta. I think Ranta has to be my favourite ever drummer. His work on The Chainheart Machine is unmatchable. He combines insanely fast blast beats with sheer beauty and has the best fills I've ever heard in all of rock. I'm guessing we're not allowed to talk about jazz drummers here...

Care to elaborate on that. Because even if thats with our opinions of Tool aside, thats one of the dumbest things you've said to date.

I'd be happy to. You see, what I did was, I took the definition of overrated to mean someone who gets a lot more recognition than they deserve right? Then I applied this to Mr. Carey. And I came to this conclusion because nothing he does impresses me at all and for some reason everywhere I look people are hailing him to be one of the greatest ever modern drummers. It disgusts me.
