Bonham

I voted for Bonham. It was a hard choice between him and Moon, but I feel like Bonham's style was much more relient on subtle nuances, unlike Moon who could make a kit explode merely by looking at it.

Both were innovative to say the absolute least, and both were exceptionally talented. It was a hard choice. I was disappointed to see that Mitch Mitchell didn't make the vote list. I feel he's underrated these days.

I really can't understand why people think Dave Grohl is one of the best drummers. He's a good drummer, he has great rhythm, but his techniques are actually pretty simple when you break it down. His technicalities are no way as good as other more technical drummers like Peart or Carey.

Dave Grohl and John Dolmayan are my favorites.

he does have the fantastic advantage over Peart and Carey of not being a complete twat.

I disagree. He doesn't have that advantage; he's a bigger twat.

Plus twattishness has nothing to do with drumming ability anyway.

nah, Grohl has an outstanding reputation for being a nice guy.

and it's certainly a disadvantage when your pretensions prevent you from keeping your drumset under a short ton.

Different styles require different drum sets.

While it would be silly to drum for a punk or indie band with the kinda drum set Terry Bozzio uses, it would be impractcal to drum for a prog or metal band with this.
