Because Keith plays fast and loud and lots. Actually he's just straight up fun. Plus he deserves a lot of credit for being incredibly original and for making playing toms all the god damn time somehow not overbearing. I wouldn't vote him over most of the other possible votes but I see why people like him.

a drummer can only be good when he plays with his heart! for the love of music, and not just for the money

That's any musician. You could go into any thread in the history of forever (excluding music too) and say that very same thing, exchanging a few words.

Your point would have been stronger if you backed it up with a much better example...

It has to be Neil Peart. If you've ever seen Rush, you should agree.

He is so fluid and technical, it's beyond belief.

I'll have take your word for it on that one, having never seen Rush live...

That is too bad, having seen them live twice myself I can truly say they are the most solid band I have ever seen. That is saying quite alot given the number of shows I have attended. Rush is one of those bands you just have to respect the un-deniable excellence of every musician on the stage, although, there are only three.....

Amazing show, ever after 32 years. If you have a chance to see them, see them.

scottsy 02-20-2009 10:37 PM

My wfie went to see them, she went with her ex, so I think her meory of the experpeince might be a little clouded by the fact she mostly wishes to forget him, rather than the band! She said it was a pretty amazing show, all things considered!

Growing up and living in Australia for the first 30 years of my life, I kinda missed out on ther whole Rush experience... perhaps i need to be educated in all things Rush - they sound like they may be right up my alley musically speaking...but where would one start with such a band that has been around so long?
