I find it hilarious how many of you crazy kids know a grand total of two metal drummers, and they both suck.

Yeah, anywhere you go on the internet, you'll find some 12-15 year old kid talking about how good Metallica and Slipknot are, or how skilled they are musically.

I can't remember the last time I heard a Metallica song and actually heard the drummer. Maybe I don't listen to Metallica enough.

He's just as good as any other thrash metal drummer, I can't even think of any impressive fills I've heard in any of there stuff. And fills are what it's all about :D

I think I should listen to Kill Em All again. I need to affiliate myself with that album again.

totally. woulda picked mike if he was up there.

and for the record i used to think lars was an amazing drummer because i only listened to the guitar playing. when i go back i realize he's mediocre compared to many.

Bill Ward is extremely underrated, a victim of poor production quality. He makes my top 3 easily

Surell 01-27-2009 08:49 PM

Bill Ward is one of my favorites. I don't think he's victim to poor quality at all, unless the CD I listen to is remastered. But he's one of my favorites. But really, I find that Sabbath is an all around perfect band. That's just me, though.

On the copies of their first 2 albums I have he gets muttled out a few more times then I'd like. Chops wise Sabbath is nearly perfect I agree with you.
