Three of the most obvious choices, why do you surprise us with some risky choices?

The take of "good morning, good morning" that is on the Beatles anthology album and "come together", always thought the drumming was pretty cool on that one.
He's definitely not one of the best, but I don't think he was bad. He had some cool moments, as mentioned above. One thing you have to consider is that he was in The Beatles, there wasn't really much room for any intricate drumming in those songs. They weren't that type of band, like rush. |

i've always liked the drumming on "come together"... but that's just cuz it fits real nice. it's not challenging. i think if the beatles had a more imaginative drummer though, their music would have been different. i say that because you (blastingas) say they weren't that type of band. i merely say that bands are defined by there parameters, and starr is a massively limiting factor, IMO.
i'm not going to lie. ringo starr is probably one of my least favourite drummers, and if the beatles has somebody better, i would probably listen to their music for the sake of enjoyment rather than historical reference. not a big beatles fan. |
