Correct, but Jeff Pocaro was the one who originally had the best credentials.

Has anyone considered Zach Hill? He is definitively in my top 5 for favorite drummers.

I'll say Moon on the poll. What's my username?
I also like Andy Parker of UFO.
Vinnie and Carmine Appice
Tico Torres
The late, great, Eric Carr
Just to name a few.

For choices on this poll, I voted for Neil Peart, with John Bonham
as a close second pick. As other posters have noted, Bill Bruford
and Terry Bozzio would have been good choices on the list as well.

I would also add Tommy Aldridge (his drumming with the Pat Travers
Band, especially the live album, is awesome)!

Mike Portnoy, especially post-TA with Morse. And, yes, Phil Collins in Genesis back in the day and killer with Brand X. Also, can't forget Terry Bozio.

P.S. The five in the survey aint so bad either. ;-)

Great choices. I am very familiar with both of them, The Rev (Avenged Sevenfold) and Lars Ulrich (Metallica).

Great choices for the poll! four are missing: George Kollias (Nile), Mike Portnoy (ex-Dream Theater), Dave Lombardo (Slayer, ex-Testament), and Carl Palmer (Emerson, Lake, and Palmer).
