I don't have any good reason, except that I just wasn't feeling this one. With the first one I felt like they actually put some feeling and emotion behind it. But now it just seems like they're churning out whatever they think will make them some bucks.
eh fair enough but still id have to disagree, ah well

I'm a big Shinedown fan. Their first two albums are fantastic. Wasn't too fond of the new one, though.

def cant agree with anyone that says their newest album is the best. They will never have a better album than Leave a Whisper. That album was just perfect. Especially for a debut. They killed it on the first try.

How did they kill Simple Man? You mean by actually having someone that can sing it, do the singing? I give those country boys props for writing a great song, but Shinedown def has the better version.

I imagine you think the Boyz II Men version of the Beatle's Yesterday wasnt better than the Beatle's version as well.

Newsflash original doesnt always mean better. Most cases...but not always.

love shinedown, and i will agree that the first album was the best. its what got me into the band in the first place. although the song "what a shame" has a deep meaning for me, as iv lost several people in the past year. sin with a grin is also a fun song, but nothing as intense as on Leave a Whisper. Wouldnt call it a poor album though.

Glad to this thread is getting posts again. But I do agree that Leave A Whispers was there best I still like Sound of Madness. Saw them live a few months ago and I thought they were pretty good.

I love Shinedown. They're probably the best up and coming mainstream band out there. The Sound of Madness was ace.
