hell, in a time where every band that had a minute of airtime was telling as many kids as possible to rage against the machine and bite the hand that feeds lest you compromise your artistic integrity with a modicum of business knowledge - SG was being open about starting their own publishing companies so they could retain all the copyrights to their music thereby ensuring the integrity of their creations via a modicum of business knowledge.

speaking of 'boring' bands from the 90s though, was there a more boring one than SG? no one was a junkie (or at least the public never found out). no one died. no major replacements after hitting big. no big drama. no rivalries / public nemesis. i'm honestly at a loss to think up another band made up of guys that 'dull'.

Its tough to do a Behind the Music with that criteria. Crash Test Dummies?

well... they did have some turmoil and member departures over the years, and the main frontman almost died after a motorcycle crash a few years ago...

So, it has been announced that Soundgarden are releasing another greatest hits, entitled 'Telephantasm.' There is this 2CD, 1DVD version, that I'm interested in. Has some great live performances, and a few unseen videos on DVD. And it comes with "Birth Ritual," one of SG's best songs, but only formerly released on a soundtrack, that I didn't buy.

I guess the 1 CD version is being shipped with all copies of GH: Warriors of Rock for the first week of its release. Sounds like the record company cashing in.

This is one of my favorite by Chris Cornell, I know that Audioslave didnt have the greatest guitar musically, some nice effects though (at times).
Cornells voice, as always is outstanding, I just love this song 'Shadow On The Sun'.

Hands down the best song Audioslave ever did. I actually liked their debut quite a lot. I remember before it was coming out, I wasn't sure how Chris Cornell's musical style along with Tom Morello's craziness would work out, but it exceeded my expectations.

We've all heard "Black Hole Sun" enough, so here's a kickass performance of "Blow Up The Outside World."

This has always been my favorite Chris Cornell/Soundgarden moment...

That movie had all the ingredients for a kick ass movie including the cameos and the awesome soundtrack. Too bad it sucked.

It was a fun movie, it's a cult classic. Even if it wasn't great by critical standards, it's still good in my book.
