There wasn't meant to be an order of talent but upon looking at it, Kyuss Melvins and Electric Wizard are all front runners. Yes, they're all pretty damn good.

I agree with most of what has been said above (especially Kyuss and Monster Magnet), some other good ones are:

Tool (Especially on Lateralus - tracks like Reflections, Disposition, and Lateralus) Frank Zappa (especially on We're Only In It For the Money) The Prodigy (see Narayana and Narcotic Suite: 3 Kilos) Pere ubu Kraftwerk Captain Beefheart The Residents Bauhaus Echo and the Bunnymen Liquid Tension Experiment And depending on what kind of "trippy" you're going for, some other crazy bands are: Polvo Sonic Youth Alice In Chains Husker Du Suicide Dinosaur Jr. |
