Im changing my solo.
Dimebag Darrel - Little Wing. Download it, I know it's not the original but he has done a masterful job of it!

hmm....tough choice.
my favorite riff would have to be the intro riff to "the light that blinds" by shadows fall....pure power. my favorite solo...probably the solo from "i wont see you tonight" by avenged, or from stairway to heaven. i dont know though...there are probably ones that i like even more that i just cant think of right now.

1. Debra Kadabra - Zappa and Beefheart - it lacks tonality but i love it!
2. The acoustic solo in Who are You is my favourite at the moment

I don't think my answer will ever stay consistant.
I've just changed my favourite riff to that of Smoke On the Water - Deep Purple. They used to play that out at the speedway over here, apart from the big sprintcars thats all I went out there for, because of that song.

there are tons of great riffs. Almost any song by zeppelin has a great riff in it (whole lotta love, kashmir, ten years gone, in my time of dying, over the hills and far away, bring it on home, etc.).
Heres a little list ive put together of some great riffs: -sunshine of your love - cream -Johnny B Goode - chuck berry -back in black - ac/dc -voodoo child - hendrix -purple haze - " -hey joe - " -sweet home alabama - skynard -aqualung - jethro tull -outshined - soundgarden -walk this way - aerosmith -money for nothin - dire straits -frankenstein - edgar winter -brown sugar - the stones -dont fear the reaper - blue oyster cult -pinball wizard - the who -up around the bend - creedence -under the bridge - chili peppers -Aenima - tool -You shook me all night long - ac/dc -rockin in the free world - neil young -love me two times - the doors -barracuda - heart -limelight - rush -come as you are - nirvana -spoonman -soundgarden -rock you like a hurricane - scorpions -man in the box - alice in chains those are about all that i can think of right now although im sure there are many other great riffs out there. I think that all in all Jimmy page was the master at coming up with some of the most awesome riffs of all time.
