Yes, but Stabbing Westward, probably unknown to you, existed far before the emo genre. And they fall into the category of indsutrial. Industrial>emo. And all music is emotional. I hate the crap with the horrible instrumentals and whatnot. And even I like Thrice >_>
So shut up if you don't know what you're talking about. The whole 'Hate all Emo' thing is just to piss people off. Which it does. very well, I might add. |

Stabbing Westward was an industrial band, no matter how you cut 'em up into as many pieces as you can. I'm not even familiar with their work outside of the late 90s timeframe, but I thought they were a pretty catchy band with lyrics that could have been written by a 12 year old in a Korn shirt.

lol yeah it does.
But the music has a darker attitude to it. Goth Industrial I thought it was called... The Dreaming however, Hall's new band, is screamo Goth Industrial. So that's what I would probably throw Stabbing Westward into. So I enjoy listening to a couple emo bands. Still don't like the overall style of music. Just like Death Metal. Listen to Chimaira and Six Feet Under. But I don't like the General style of the music. Industrial is the best. |
