^very true. A lot of times it's their popular tracks that draw you to them until you hear them over and over way too much (another brick in the wall pt.2, stairway to heaven) and eventually listen to their b-sides and lesser known stuff and take more of a liking to it. That's how it works for me anyways

People always dimiss Pink Floyd as being a mellow band, but what some folks forget is that they can get loud and nasty when they have to...Examples.

my god people!
just listen to anything off of The Wall Dark Side Of The Moon Final Cut you will at least fall inlove with one song off of one or more of those albums. at least i hope so. anyways those are my favorite movies, i adore each and every song on all of those album but my all time favorite Floyd song would have to be Time.. anyways also watch Pink Floyd the wall AMAZING look at it for the art and the music. also watch classic albums VH1 the making of Dark Side Of The Moon. i love it.. love it love it!.. |

I never really got into Pink Floyd at first. I thought DsotM was the overratedest album ever... But I sort of grudgingly accepted it had a place in rock history. Then I bought the Wall and I immediately thought it was the greatest album I'd ever heard. Pink Floyd are the kinda band the album needs to click with you, otherwise they seem completely useless.
