The simple answer is I couldn't at this juncture. This is no comment on your intelligence LesPaul but you havn't learned to appreciate imperfection, and to me, thats my bread and butter. I can love Fantasy metal as much as the next guy, where it plays like a sound track to some heroic dreamscape where you rule, but I know all to well that life is nothign like that, and when im staring down reality, I want mistakes, I like flat notes and fret buzz and **** ups. imperfection is honesty. Its as simple as that. Waits voice, Jacks playing, those things that tell me this is guy who actually sat at the counter drinking coffee with every other working class shlub after work depressed about how life was. Even when their singing about ****ing chicks, its not that phony R&B ****, this is a guy whos telling you ever raw and dirty move that he'd do to her. And regardless how how smoothe R&B is, despite the fact that he wants to "make love to her on a bed of rose petals" he's thinking the same thing as the blues man, or the folk trubador, or the country guy that tells it like it is. My mantra has always been the following: Given the choice of being up in a pentahouse or down in the mud, I'd always choose the mud. The Penthouse can be taken away in an instance, and it would be ungoldy hell to go from luxery to a state of nature. But the mud is reality, the mud is always there, no one ever takes the mud away, they couldn't if they even wanted to. In short, I keep things nice and dirty. As it should be, as it will come to again.

Yes thats cool, I wasn't literally meaning that no popstar knows how to play an instrument. I like Jack Johnson and he plays guitar. I was refering to people like Britney, The Idol winners, Christina and so on. It was not a literal swipe at all pop musicians.
