Theres melody in metal buddy, and theres ****ing piles of talent too. everyones already mentioned tons of awesome melodic metal bands, try also soilwork, its not exactly "metal" but avenged sevenfold had great melodics. and if you want heavy but enchanting music, try some isis. steer clear of ****in lame 80's hair metal, theres nothing i despise more than hair metal.
