Its both, subjective and objective. Creativity, Imagination, Originality and Songwriting Ability are all subjective elements of talent, but Technicall Skill and Versatility are objective.

I'm not much of a heavy metal fan. But I get what bigdave117 means. But matallica is ok. Mostly it is classic rock or rock for me.

No talent? I would say Metal is the most talent base genre out there. You should just try some more, Metal is very diverse from Thrash to black to industrial ect they all have very unique sounds and style. I hope you don't give up on it because it is a great genre and is very influencel. (exuse my spelling).

Ok I'll say this...Metal is loud..There is talent there but it's so loud you can't hear the talent coming through..By the end of the gig your ears are so beaten that you can't hear anything for three days after...muffs are the saving grace here folks!:D
