which one's the best out of these?
choose!
The White Stripes arent really indie anymore, but i will vote for them, especialy when considering the other options.
The Strokes aren't that great, Weezer have been sucking for a while now, The Killers are just plain bad, and I don't care for The White Stripes either way. So Modest Mouse by a long shot, especially considering that fact that Lonesome Crowded West and Moon & Antarctica are both amazing albums.
the only one that i listen to on any kind of regular basis is Modest Mouse...
I chose Weezer, I've hated pretty much everything they put out after Pinkerton, but F*CK, the Blue album is just amazingly good.
the strokes- i like them. over-hyped to the point of blasphemy but i like both the albums and juicebox is a promising taster for the third.
modest mouse- never really got into them. they've always striked me as a band people say they like to gain indie cred... weezer- ive said this in another forum, cuomo produces amazing pop songs that anyone can sing along to- yet their not the cleverest outfit. the killers- 1 or 2 singles- passable. the album..my god has their ever been a band so overhyped as the killers? oh yeah the strokes. still, the killers offend me. white stripes- like weezer, i wouldnt call this band indie but they are by far the best band on the list. both in skill (granted mostly down to Jack White) and innovation. |
White Stripes are great live!!:)
i voted for the Strokes, i loved 12:51 when i first heard it and there new songs grown on me and i think the videos good too.
None of them,I would say the white stripes but after their song about doorbells I decided not to.
not too sure about the White stripes, but Weezer has always been Weezer, it just so happens that at least 5 other bands out there are being weezer too. You shouldn't fault them for being so good their copied.
And where the hell did "indie" come from, this isn't in that forum, and the OP never said it? And why the hell are't the stripes indie, their still on Sympath for the Record industry aren't they, or Third Man? |
