Not redundant stuff? Typically the stuff that borders on being grind or stuff with a slight sense of melody without being swede-sceney (I guess bands inspired by ATG but not clones). Impaled, Carcass (all eras), Napalm Death (yes they have non-grind albums stfu about Scum already), Death, Bloodbath, Morbid Angel, Arsis, (early) Arch Enemy, Torchbearer, good bands.

Melodic Death is defiantnly a good genre, old school death as well. I perfectly aware of Napalm Death's Death Metal albums, thank you very much. But really if you don't like brutal vocals and fast percussion than you are missing a large part of what makes death metal, death metal.

Brutal vocals and fast drums can't save Nile's 6 minutes of 2 riffs song style nor can they save Dying Fetus' chugga chugga wiggacore metal. Fast drums and harsh vocals are great if used in bands that aren't otherwise useless. See Abaddon Incarnate, Destroyer 666, and Katafalk.

So you DON'T like death metal, which the majority of death metal uses fast drumming.
Unless, you're into older death metal, more specifically in the vein of Death?

There is a difference between fast drumming because it works with your music and fast drumming for the sake of fast drumming. Cryptopsy has fast drumming done in a way that is pivotal and jazzy which accents the simplistic yet weirdly timed riff style. Nile's drumming is fast for the sake of making the music sound faster than it really is. I **** you not when I say Nile seems halfway competent when they slow things down, but really just botch up the feel when they attempt to sound like generic death metal band 500000001.
