Maiden soooooo much better, overall but the first 3 metallica albums did help build a formation for extreme metal, in general, however.

Thats nice. But, there is a lovely little word in brackets in the title of this thread... So, whatever you say about "MAIDEN R THE GODS OF METAL" that doesnt mean I prefer them. See?

'Sides, Maiden just bore the crap outta me.

Yeah, one time people did a preference thread about nirvana vs iron maiden, and people gave me **** for picking nirvana, its the main problem i have with metalheads, they take other peoples preference way too seriously sometimes.

Ha ha, that's what I was going to say.

But yeah, Metallica - not that I listen to them very much these days, but they still have proved their worth and I've spent many happy hours listening to Ride The Lightining.
