What song is that phrase out of? Can't remember. Still think they're an overrated mediocre band as well.

I think it's called "don't sit down 'cause I've moved your chair".
I really like their first two albums. They by no means blow me away, but similarly to Bloc Party's "Silent Alarm", I just dig them.

Appreciate Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, then they kinda went downhill. I love Silent Alarm. Prefer Bloc Party to Arctic Monkeys. Though I'm not big on them, that album just caught in.

Arctic Monkeys are a great band (in my opinion of course). It's easy to pick out lyrics that are bad/actually meant as a joke song/topic etc but I think Alex Turner has always been one of the better lyricists out there. His observational skills from the beginning have always been superb.

pretty good track actually. I'm interested in what else they have to offer come Sept. Looking forward to it.

Sounds pretty good. I liked Humbug personally, so I won't mind if they go in that direction. Haven't gotten into the last one, just played it once I think. I'm really just a casual fan, but think the first 3 are solid.

Humbug was amazing if you take out 'Dangerous Animals', 'Pretty Visitors' and 'Potion Approaching'.
My Propeller, Cornerstone, Crying Lightning, The Jeweller's Hand and the severely underrated Dance Little Liar were all top quality tracks. Some of their best. Not sure about the newest track. It's not bad that's for sure, just haven't fallen in love with it. Kinda sounds like a slow R U Mine? Anyone else getting that? |
