back to the topic of the thread then....whats better...scummy or i bet you look good on the dancefloor?

for pure pop-rock andrenaline pumping energy it has to be i bet you....dancefloor for me.

and the guitar in cigarette sounds like something jimi hendrix would do. not as good of course- but the sound of it. good stuff.

oh and to whoever said alex turners accent will limit their appeal/success...on the contrary i think it could perhaps enhance their chances seeing as the majority of british rock bands either have lead vocalists who sing in a very "english", stereotypically pronounced way or yelp a pre-pubescent hormonally charged slab of noise. turners vocal style has character but its also sincere and rooted..if you understand. i really dig his voice.

That was me.
But I actually said, it may! I could'nt make my mind up if it would help, or hinder there appeal/success.
Oasis sprang to mind,(for regional accent reasons) and I was'nt sure it was a good thing, but unlike Oasis they lack arrogance. If anything they show a sense of humour.
Lyrical subject matter is down to earth working class, which appeals to me...I guess only time will tell.
I'm growing very fond of this band.

yeah exactly, his voice coupled with the lyrical content expresses a very..homely, "real" persona. you can tell their heads are firmly on their shoulders. great band.
