Alex Turner did that with me, Red Lights Indicate That Doors Are Secure, A Certain Romance and You Probably Couldn't See Me.. all just sum up culture and life when you're out on the town here in Britain.

Favourite Worst Nightmare was my least favourite album, not 'cause there's anything wrong with it. The songs just didn't speak to me like WPSIATWIN and I don't feel they're as good as Humbug. I loved Humbug from top to toe, Cornerstone being one of my favourite early stand out tracks as well.
Wow, its like if I like one thing, you like the other. And if you dont like something, I like it. Its confusing, but strangely cool. Sort of like a coincidence, but not really.

I know what you mean, about the culture in Britain. I mean, overall, the Monkeys are fantastic. One of my favourite bands probably, and Alex Turners voice is one of my favourites. Humbug is a great album, don't get me wrong, but they all speak to us in different ways. Hence, you love it, and I prefer FWN.

BUT, WPSIATWIN (damn, had to repeat it) is my alltime favorite. For a debut, its bloody awesome.

Chalk and Cheese

One of the best debuts of all time in my eyes, and one of the great albums. Full of social statements, something a Brit around the age of 18 can really relate to. It's been one of my favourite albums for about 4 years and Humbug on some days comes close to beating it, but their debut (avoids saying it again) was my first love.

"And true love lasts a lifetime..." I think thats from a song. Not quite sure which though.. ANYWAY.

I think we can both agree that the Monkeys are like WOW and really awesome and just a generally good band. All their albums have been great, and Alex Turner never seems to lose his charm.

I wouldnt say there my absolute favourite band, and theyre albums arent my absolute favourites either. But there definitely up there, recieveing an honourable mention (: Great example of pure British excellence

Agreed!

Do me a favour, my biggest pet peeve (well one of them) learn the difference between their, there and they'e!

I wouldn't say they're* my absolute favourite band
and their* albums aren't my absolute favourites either

But yeah, they're recording their 4th album after the world cup I do believe. Due for release in 2011, I already can't wait. I hope it's a summer 2011 release, soundtrack to your summer albums are always brilliant.

Well, SORRY then Mr. Grammar (; I'll do my humble best.

I hope its as good as their old ones, because I hate it when bands make more and more music and then slowly it just becomes worse and worse. See U2 for example. And Coldplay, Viva La Vida was hardly as good as ROBTTH, or Parachutes.

I have a weird OCD about grammar and stuff

I hope they just carry on from Humbug and go even darker, I don't think they'll fade away. Once they start declining, I hope Alex and Miles grow old together in the LSP. I loved that musical outfit, shame Alex can't do both.

Coldplay have always been a bit bland and boring and U2 have had one good album. But I know what you mean, add Oasis to your list as well.

I like dark as much as the next person, but cheerfull and chirpy is good too. To make it better, they should do a mix. Some dark for you, some fun and danceable for me (: Its a compromise I'm willing to make. You know, if we were in charge of the band...

Nah, Coldplay are great. Sure, Chris Martins voice cant flex a degree and they all have that same sounding ring to them, but theyre still good. But that the cool part, we all have different tastes. I like Coldplay and The Kooks, and your a bit obsessive about the Arctic Monkeys (: Its all cool.

Consider Oasis added

Default New Arctic Monkeys Single

What do you guys think of the new Arctic Monkey's single "Brick by Brick?" I have to say I was kind of disappointed. I might need to give it more of a chance though. I didn't like many of the songs on "Humbug" when I first listened to it but "Crying Lightening" kind of grew on me.

You have never seen or heard Artic Monkey's until you have been to show in France.
Unreal.
I have been listening to them for a few years now (courtesy of the big brother)
and I find that I am more a fan of their older music then any of the new songs they
have recently put out. Their 2006 album "Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not"
is by far my favorite..Specifically the song Fake Tales of San Francisco.
