I think Favourite Worst Nightmare is an excellent followup and nearly as good as their debut. Humbug is pretty solid too, although it's not my thing so much. I imagine there will be a few things I enjoy off this new album but yeah, I don't expect another Whatever People Say...

Well, I think you have to look at it like they're a completely different band when listening to Humbug otherwise you might be disappointed. It's nothing like their first two albums. I wouldn't recommend watching the music videos though. They're so corny they just might ruin the songs. Especially "Cornerstone." Ugh, it's so awful it's almost funny.

Yes, you definitely should. I agree V&F tho, I love FWN possibly even more than the debut. Humbug is not that bad either but for me definitely not as strong as the first two.

Eagerly awaiting what they're going to do next tho.

I was really dissapointed in their new song (Brick by Brick). Hope the rest of the album is gonna be better, 'cause humbug was awesomeness.

What did you guys think of Suck it and See? I was quite disappointed by Brick by Brick as well, but the whole thing surprised me in a good way. If Humbug was dark, Suck it and See is light. I think some songs are very similar to each other, which is not necessarily a bad thing...I hope their next work has a bit more of rock, but I can't say I'm disappointed by this one. It's definitely one of my favorite releases of their year.

really? I'm having such a hard time listening to it in full

it's disappointing and it's bothering me so far.

Maybe one day I will force myself to listen to the new album in its entirety but it's like pulling teeth with me to finish it
