I love Sigur Ros, and Explosions in The Sky, but I don't really compare them because they play different styles of post-rock. Sigur Ros is more dreamy, and hypnotic, while EitS are more upbeat and energetic. My all time favorite EitS song is Song For Our Fathers, and I cannot differentiate between tracks on () but the entire album blows me away. Like I said, I really cannot compare the two.

In my opinion, having listened to their whole album, only two songs are good on it. It seemed a shame to be honest, and I left my Stereo with disappointment. I think they could of done so much better, but really they're mostly just cover songs. Perhaps they should of stuck with the elements of music that they put in `I bet you look good on the dance floor`, because, for me, that's the best song on their album.

She* I didn't mean cover songs, I meant tracks which fill in the album. I meant fillers :-)) It's just my opinion.

The guy sings flat. It's the same songs over and over and they're spotty.
So what's the big deal?

And most singers for indie/alternative bands arent exactly what you would call very good singers. |
