I like the couple of songs Ive heard, I think Ill go look for some more... How long have they been going for?

off the old cd. I like Ember To Inferno, Fugue (A Revelation), and Falling To Grey. but anything you can hear by them is awesome.

off the new cd...Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Mayrter, Like Light To The Flies, and Departure are all rad as well.

My friend turned me on to them over the summer. They are definitely worth buying the album.

Trivium is some pretty awesome ****.

My favorite song by them is My Hatred, can't remember which album it's off of though(Ember to Inferno, eh?)

I haven't noticed any threads for these guys, which isn't good, 'cos they are awesome. Especially for being so young (lead singer's only 19, the rest of them are early twenties).

Anyone else like them?

I like them, but I really really don't think they're worthy of all this hype they're getting right now. It's getting to the point of having to look for ages to find a music magazine without Trivium at least mentioned on the cover. Kind of irritating, they're not THAT great.

Yeah, I kinda agree with you.
I mean, I do think they're really good, but it is irritating hearing about them and seeing them on every magazine.

They were better on Ember to Inferno, but the resurgance of metal is hailing them as the new saviors. Good, yes. Saviors? no.

No way are they the new Metallica, neither is their music very good. But I gotta give them credit for their Download 2005 performance, they ripped that place apart.

i think they are seriously awesome, the guitaring in their songs on both albums are awesome, but i stil think system of a down are my fave band, but trivium are close behind :)

trivium is definatley a great band...i havent heard much of them though

those are the only songs ive heard..but im hooked on them both

i dont like trivium at all, to me they sound like so many other bands, n that guy on radio 1 sed they were already better than metallica!! not nice or true, at least the hype is dying down now, im almost sure i saw a magazine in morrisons without any mention of them... and i watched 10minutes of kerrang last nyte b4 they came on n i turned off

that is true, but there was nothing else to do, and i read metallica have a radio station type thing in kerrang, but i cant find it... *sigh* ill have to listen to trent fm for the time being <------ sarcasm... trent fm... pmpl (o and seein as its a trivium thread may aswell mention em, theyre overrated and they wont go away)

id actually prefer trivium to metallica, im not too big a fan of metallica although some of their stuff i do like

well ok trivium are awesome, i like them alot but what the hell are you on about ''new band'' they've been around for ages! they have two albums out and they formed 5 years ago!!

i like trivium. theyve got a pretty good grasp of their instruments. some of their songs are a little bland but overall their sound is pretty good. i like the screaming a lot. but i find it strange that that kinds of scream comes out of that singer because he isnt all that big. my friend got me into them but the first i heard of them was when i saw them play with mudvayne, inflames and shadows fall. sweet show.

Old Trivium >>>>>> New Trivium.

but new Trivium is awesome as well. I love when they do the dualing solo's. But I don't like how much prevelance the singing is gaining. grrr.

ohh... the scene kid part...yeah. i saw one of those comercials and i was like. whoa..that would be a great sig. seeing as everyone on musicbanter either IS a scene kid...or hates scene kids.

and RAR, i agree with you on the dualing solos, awsomeness. and also the old vs. new. their old stuff was better. although, i kinda like the vocals on the new album better.

love Trivium, they kick serious ass! and they're doing a tour by me in a few months so can go see them then as i've never seen them live before which i am looking forward to already!

I find Trivium to be a great band.

Im with AITA the hype gets annoying.
They're a good band though.
and yes old trivium does own new trivium.

i am a HUGE trivium fan. i think they are simply AWESOME! (and the lead singer is only 19 so it proves that younger singers really CAN have some talent)

and old or new trivium - all rocks the same to me!

I USED to like them, I like the drumming, but I've moved more Black Metal now thatn any other Genre...But still dont really mind the drumming.
