Cool cause or effect of violence?

ok so if i said that rock music influences us youths to be violent who would agree? I'm talking about the lyrics that promote it, and all the crap in America about MM influencing shoot-ups etc with his music..
to be honest i neither disagree nor agree but I'm interested to know what u guys think? Cause or effect of violence..?

You are only influenced by what you choose to influence you, as i recall Hitler didn't own any Slayer albums, Napoleon was never a big Eminem fan and Stalin never listened to Death Metal, though i might be wrong.

music can and should trigger emotions, how you respond and act while filled with these emotions cant be blamed on the artist.

I don't think it is making youth violent.
I believe rap and hip hop influence violence more than anything, all this talk about beating the next man, stealing his b*tch...while high.
Whereas rock; Even the most angry of angry songs won't overly affect many, because people can't interpret the lyrics easily, and the music is like a temporary high, the angry riffs will wear off along with the adrenaline.

Ah I do not know, I mostly relate to boo boos opinion on this.
