Best bands that were big in the 90's (alternative, metal)

They were big but weren't the best.

UYI II is much better than nevermind or inutero. The UYIs get a bad rap because AFD is probably the best hard rock album ever made. You can claim the UYIs were average all you want but nothing nirvana ever did was better than Civil War, Nov Rain, estranged, coma, you could be mine etc etc.

If UYIs were one album it would have been hailed just as good as AFD.

Exactly , he`s one of these one band wonders that bore people to death on forums.

No doubt in the best frontman thread he`ll say Axl Rose , best guitarist thread Slash , best album ever made thread Appetite For Destruction etc etc etc.

Maybe if this was a best bands that were big in the 80s thread he MIGHT just have a small point. Calling Guns n Roses the best band of the 90s because they made one album in that decade (or 2 , if you`re being pedantic) is like suggesting the Beatles were the best band of the 70s because Let It Be came out in the 70s.
