i cant really say, I listen to to amny genres to picka best band for a whole decade, i could do one for genre, but not decade

the smashing pumpkins for sure nirvana isnt worthy of being called a good band they were horrible with the exception of maybe 3 songs they have nothing good

Ya, out of those choices Nirvana takes Smashing Pumpkins by a hair. Love RCHP as well, but I'm not so high on PJ. The best band of the 90s is Alice in Chains however. I have top songs lists for these artists and other like Weezer, Radiohead, Rage, REM, Offspring, Green Day, Muse, Beatles... and like 20 more on my site top-music.wetpaint.com

Pearl Jam! They write better songs than the others, and are great live (unlike the chillies)
