Have not heard the new single.... post it if you can... will give you my thoughts.
I enjoy "Burn My Eyes" even if it is kind of just Fear Factory Jr. in many ways, it was stilla good groove based thrashy album, and is actually, despite the fact it is not that original, a good album, and still their best. "Thing More Things Change..." had some great riffs, some great groove, "Take My Scars" and a few more are still classic songs in that style... but compared to "Burn My Eyes" was sorta uneven, still worth a listen though. The next few albums got awful to me and more nu-metal based, though still had some grooves, suffered from being to in debt to the trends of the time, and a low point to me. "The More...." kinda hinted at this sound though, it had elements of, but still kept some of the thrash influence of "Burn My Eyes", it had some nu-metal sounding stuff... but it was not to the point of what was to come.. Wouldn't be until "Through the Ashes of Empires" they would return to form more, and "The Blackening" was great as well. So hopefully the new one is going in that direction, and not devolving to try and join some new trendy movement and they devolve back into something that is just bad.

I think Machine Head are a great band despite having a couple of weak albums. Their live album "Hellalive" is one of the best around.
