Roger Waters # 88??
Mike Patton # 72??

also:
#29 - Peter Gabriel of Genesis? are you thinking of Peter Gabriel or Phil Collins?
#64 and #93 are the same person.
Frank Zappa is Captain Beefheart?, wow, they look nothing alike and i have seen them together on several occasions, makes sense.

And no i meant peter gabriel, he was in Genesis long before Collins became their frontman, Collins mimiced Gabriels vocals but he lacked his stage persona, Gabriel was a very exiting frontman, especialy live, he would get very into it and onstage wore unsual outfits, he was also one of the first rock performers to do the goth look with the black and white makeup, long before Robert Smith.

And about Waters, Strummer and Patton, are you saying they are too low or that they shouldn't be on the list at all?, specify for me.

1. I think youre right about capt. beefheart, it was a colaboration between Zappa and Don Van Vliet, and i think it was Don that actually took the Capt. Beefheart stage name. My mistake.

2. I wasnt aware that peter gabriel was ever the frontman for Genesis. I like Gabriel way more than i could ever like collins, so again, my mistake.

as for whether i think strummer, waters and patton should be higher or lower, definetly higher up the list especially when you compare the ones you have higher up -

Billie Joe Armstrong, Jack White, the guys from stained and incubus rated higher than Strummer?????

is this a list you made, or was it one you found on another site?

No i made the list, what i posted was just an update, as for strummer, he is a great frontman, but you see, most of my list is based on Live Performance, Character, Presence, Enthusiasm, etc...The Clash are certainly a greater band than say green day, the white stripes or incubus, but i think Armstrong, White and Boyd are pretty damn good live...They really get involved in their shows, they really get the crowd going and can be very unpedictable and a joy to watch, not that strummer lacks these qualitys i just dont think he has them as much, only my opinion though, if i update the list again i could move him above lewis, but how great the band itself is dosent really effect the list too much(hence Maccartney and Lennon not in the top 10)...As for Waters, Pink Floyd is my favorite band, so im by no means being biased, he had some great moments live, but i dont think he deserves to be higher than most of those i ranked above them, despite what i think of the actual bands they are in, i could move up Patton though, he is a really damn good frontman.

ya, i know what you mean by Live Performance, Character, Presence, Enthusiasm, etc,
Waters was super theatrical and a young strummer was just as enthusiastic on stage as say Armstrong is today, id be curious to see how much energy he has left when hes in his 50s.

Normally I'd crap all over you for slamming jack white, but in this particular instance ill say, if jack didn't play such amazing guitar, he'd not be interesting at all. jack's guitar has better stage presence than he does. They sort of face each other, so there isn't any performing other than musically.

BJA I know too little about. And I agree that Arron Lewis is complete crap, but brandon boyd has flair, whether its more than stummer, im not sure, but he's rightfully on the list.

i wasnt slamming jack white, nor was i disputing that he should be on the list, i just dont think he should be rated higher than Reed, Waters and especially Strummer. I agree with him being higher on the list than Dave Mathews and Joe Elliot though.

Gee, its a disgrace to rock n roll to have little richard(who was one of the pioneers of rock n roll)above plant?(who wasn't), you must be another one of those idiots who thinks good music began with Led Zeppelin and everything before 1969 sucks, 90 people need to move up?, do you realise how stupid that sounds?, look, no one said my list was perfect, i sure as **** didn't, im always willing to learn from my own mistakes as well as other posters on music banter, saying my list sucks and resorting to personal attacks suggests you aren't more than 8 years old, learn to respect other artists than just your favorites and grow up.
