Only dig 2 tunes off of Circus, "One Inch Man" and "Jumbo Blimp Jumbo". "Spaceship Landing" is a forced attempt to capture the magic of Sky Valley and doesn't sound as spontaneous as their best jams.

Don't think i've ever seen anybody mention this on the forum before & I knew nothing about it so i'll post this for anyone who wants it.

Kyuss/Queens of the Stone Age is a split EP which was released in December 1997. The first three songs are performed by Kyuss and the last three songs by guitarist Josh Homme's next band, Queens of the Stone Age. It includes a cover of the song "Into the Void" by Black Sabbath from their album Master of Reality. "If Only Everything" is an early version of the song "If Only", which appeared on Queens of the Stone Age's eponymous debut album. A re-recorded version of "Born to Hula" appeared as a b-side on one edition of the "Lost Art of Keeping a Secret" single release, and later as a track on the Stone Age Complications EP

I've been digging my Kyuss lately. This is from an awesome series of vids at the '95 Bizarre festival, and I also found a video of them doing Whitewater in the desert on Youtube. It's awesome to think about that event itself but I wish the quality was just that little bit better. Bloody desert winds!

I downloaded a torrent with all their albums and listened to one of them and hated it. I guess I expected more after hearing how great they were. Took a break from them for a couple of days. Then listened to the rest of the albums and was blown away. It's like Queens except heavier (if that's possible).

Welcome To Sky Valley is their best record for me. I havent heard a KYUSS record I don't like but that one sounds so much trippier, so much heavier and leans more towards the doom end of the spectrum which suits me down to the ground.

Im glad the QOTSA split was mentioned as well, thats what I'm listening to right now and its amazing.
