Most memorable metal solo's
There are some absoloutely brilliant and classic solo's produced today, and over the past 20 years or so metal has completely revoloutionised the art of the solo, they are now less cautious, more balls out, take that punk you ****!, and better constructed.
For me the most memorable solo is Kirk Hammet's solo for the Metallica classic one. Although they aren't my favourite band, nor do I believe they have enough talent to deserve their fame and fortune however, there is something about that solo that will stick with you from the first time you hear it. Other solo favourites include many Children of Bodom, Megadeth, Led Zep, Iron Maiden and so forth... So rack the noggin and give some input on your most memorable solo... |

Awesome 10min drum solo in Moby dic Led Zepplin, keeps me interested everytime, has stuck with me since i was about 9 Yrs old, and a solo done by Joey out of slipknot where he is tied to a car seat connected to a platform with drums and he is lifted up and turns around upside down and comes back down while still beating away at the drums! insane stuff

Dave and Adrian from Iron Maiden had some of the best twin guitar interplay on a lot of their solos - Two Minutes To Midnight - The Trooper - all of Killers - good stuff. Also for pure shredfest Yngwie was hard to beat.
