who is Symphony X?

Symphony X is by far the most wicked progressive metal band ever....michael romeo writes all of the music and he shreds the most amazing riffs....right now by far one of my favbourite bands..and along with russel allan amazing vocals.he has such range...i suggest you check them out...for amazing vocals check out either accolade or accolade II and also be sure to check out Candlelight Fantasia.for everything else every song is equally amazing

I've heard of the band Symphony X but haven't actually had the chance to hear their music. My favourite progressive metal band is Dream Theater. Do Symphony X sound anything like DT? What are their best albums?

Well i have heard that DT and Symphony X are similar....mostly in technicalities....but i find symphony sound much more "Flowey" with their technical music...And i dont like DT but LOVE Symphony X....best albums are V:The new Mytholegy, The odyssey, The divine wings of tragedy..all amazing
