A lot of the stuff I like is mid 70s - mid 8os.

That's true about Taj Mahal. When I seen his name I didn't think reggae. Would like to hear a reggae tune by him.
Not actually heard much by him, but there is this film called "Rolling Stones, Rock & Roll Circus" with Taj on it. Well top !!!

Well check out his version of Brown Eyed Handsome man. Like All nite said, theres a few carribean-influenced tunes hes done.

All of taj's reggae stuff sounds very overproduced to me. None of the tracks seem blenede together, all the drums and horns have a kind of soca sound to them.

Hmm I'd have to say my favourite Bob Marley songs are 400 years, concrete jungle and down pressor.
