Snoop Lion

Heard 'La La La" today---thought it was complete crap-- just what the world needs- more 'bastardized reggae music'. Wondering what a true reggae artist like Bob Marley or Peter Tosh would think of it.

I still can't get past the fact that Snoop is saying he's Bob Marley reincarnated...

Actually didn't sound half bad, curious on how the full album will turn out.

have to say I also hated the fact that he 'ripped off' lines from Bob Marley songs- 'who feels it knows it' one example. Sorry but Snoop Lion is nothing like Bob Marley and highly doubt he ever will come close. Bob Marley was not just a reggae icon he was also a political activist and humanist. I know that Snoop Dogg -- sorry I just can't call him Snoop Lion- has done some work with disadvantaged youth but don't feel that the impact he has had even comes close to what Bob Marley has done and the effect his music has had on people. Going to Jamaica and smoking a whole lot of ganja doesn't make you a valid reggae artist Snoop

That's exactly my reaction at this point. I'll see where he goes with it, but I'm not expecting much.

As completely ridiculous as this situation might be I have to admit it's TOTALLY piqued my curiosity about how much better really 'good' weed from Jamaica gets hahaha
