I see pretty much no value in reggae as a genre. Dropping by this thread to see if there's anything that might change my mind. I know Marley obvs and I dig his passion. I enjoy dub but I consider that separate from reggae but maybe that's part of the problem as I'm pretty ignorant of the genre.
Not spurred by any interest in the genre or artists I've heard tbh, it's just one of my genre blind spots so to speak. Throw what you got at me and see what sticks.

Assume total ignorance outside of Marley, Tosh, and ****ty local bands (it's a goddamn plague in SD). I'll check em out.

Max Romeo is one of my favorite raggae artists.
