Default Delroy Washington

It's been a while since I started a thread in this forum, so no time like the present eh.

I've been listening to Delroy Washington here quite a lot lately, which is never a bad thing. Anyone else here heard of his stuff before?

For those not in the loop, the kinda thing we're dealing with here is pure, bona fide roots reggae, and definitely among the cream of the crop, if slightly overlooked in favour of his contemporaries. Imagine Prince Far I without the dub reverbs and effects, a less guitar-heavy version of the Israel Vibration and a more accessible version of Burning Spear. Basically, anyone who's heard of roots reggae before and thought 'hey, I should get into that someday' should definitely have Washington's Rasta album as one of the first they turn to. One for all the Steel Pulse fans, basically.

Here, have a video...

edit - Forgot to say, as with every random artist I pull out of my library in thread form, if anyone wants an album link, just ask!
