Tip the Van
anyone into this band? I first discovered them back in Jan 09 when they were opening for Reel Big Fish and Streetlight Manifesto and checked out their debut, Something Wicked.
They're ska punk band with two female lead singers, a trombonist, and guitar/bass/drums. The album is really fantastic, with sick horn lines, choruses, and rhythm parts. Overruled has to be my favorite song on there. I definitely recommend them. Tip the Van' Tip The Van on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads |

I just checked them out as your reccos are always worth a listen but they didn't do much for me and I didn't like the production. For the horn work and the female vocals I think they should go for a smoother sound or go the other way and up the ante on the guitar sound to match the raw sound.

I definitely noticed the production. I agree its really odd sounding. The EP (both the Circles and Passion, Love and Pride EPs) stuff is hit and miss but their full length is much better IMO.
