Angry Sublimes new front man.

Sublime has a new lead singer who goes by the name of Rome. I can't find much info on him, like where he's from or if he's been in other bands or even his last name. There are however alot of vids of him on youtube. The first vid I watched was the "new Sublime's" rendition of Saw Red featuring some bubblegum, Disney-type bitch who does'nt seem to have ever heard the real song, at all. It made me want to shoot myself in the foot.

Rome looks and sings like an America's Got Talent contestant with his clear voice and great pronunciation. What does that have to do with Brad or Sublime for that matter? I don't see or hear any of Brad's quailities. Don't see or hear any connection to Sublime whatsoever in this kid. He has none of the passion, conviction, angst, cynisism, spirit, voice, or guitar skills that Brad had. So what does Rome bring to the table for Sublime besides a new voice that in my opinion does'nt fit the band or genre?

I've read alot of comments that say "oh wow! he sounds just like Brad"...What!? This guy is an MTV mother fu*#^r and was'nt it Brad who sang "don't wanna be no MTV mother fu*#^r"?

Call me a theorist, but the whole thing smells like money. I got an idea! Let's get Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic together with Clay Aiken and call it Nirvana.

I'd love to hear from you Sublime fans out there.

Some times, you just can't replace things. And it's worthless to try.

This is one of those times.

Yeah, but still.

Brad had the soul, and soul isn't something you can easily find a fill-in for. I mean, Sublime gave me some great music, and I really don't have much of a problem with them doing a reunion tour in honor of Brad, maybe. But if they try to record new music using the Sublime name to gain recognition... I will laugh.

Brad is irreplaceable! I was very sceptical as Sublime are one of my favourite bands of all time but, I do rate Rome, I really like his voice. Im still unsure whether they should carry Sublime on with him though. But I think Eric, Bud and Rome could have a really good sounding band making their own music with their own sound.

I guess its the same as AC/DC. They carried on with Brian Johnson because they saw him fit as a replacement for Bon Scott.
