The mood, the pace, the rhythm are completely different. Rome's version is a massively toned down pop-appeal version. Not especially bad in and of itself but the idea they this new group call themselves Sublime (former band members or not) is massively misleading when they're presenting for a completely different genre with a completely different image.
I agree. Rome sounds way to poppy. He's gonna sell his records though unfortunatly.

The guy seems like the kind of college aged douche that I run into all the time. That worships Jack Johnson, John Mayer and Jason Mraz and plays a bunch of Third Eye Blind covers.

i think sublime was great. honestly i couldnt care less if they got some new guy because its not my music i didnt know any of the musicians and i dont recognize them as sublime, just a marketing ploy. that being said i do feel the spirit of the band did die with bradley, he cant be replaced only imitated. all we can do now is wonder what might have been and say thank you for the beautiful music. oh and dont be so hard on the kid he does have a good voice its not his fault he doesnt have enough sense to realize this is a horrible idea

naaah. i know about 20 other guys my age who sound just like him. I agree though, I'm sure it's not like he had the sense to turn it down - I mean if the former members of Sublime ask yuo to sing are you really going to be like... "uh... no?"

Exactly. Rome looks like a bit of a div but he doesn't come across as having his head on enough nor having the sort of connections to organise such a happenstance. This is the former band members deciding they need a money spinner and grabbing at past fame as a way to try and guarantee an earner, rather than starting from scratch and remembering Brad's wishes.

You can't replace bradley, especially not with this douche. That bands done. Just like you said, you can't make another Nirvana there's no more Sublime. Plus Gwem Stefani was way better in the song "Saw Red"
