When it comes between money and honor a dead friend (and legend) friendship comes first in my book.

I would still go see these guys, even with the new front man.

They are not sublime. A lawsuit was filed upon them earlier this month, ruled that they are not sublime, and are not allowed to perform under the sublime name with, or without Rome.

that said, if he can write good songs and sing well, I could care less. I loved sublime when Bradly was the powerhouse behind it, and I wont think of them as the same band with this new guy, but if they make good music, then they make good music.

Bradley WAS sublime. they just need money is all. Not worth my time.

I rethought this and came to the conclusion I wouldn't mind them touring under the name but I'd be pissed if they released an album. I'd still pay a ****load to see them live.

As I said before, neither will happen.

I guess its the same as AC/DC. They carried on with Brian Johnson because they saw him fit as a replacement for Bon Scott.

Yes, and we all know what happened after that. It was a different time, though. And it happened pretty much directly following Bon's death.

But with the Sublime thing, its been over ten years since Brad died or Sublime released an album. And since then, Sublime's music has still carried on, and is probably more popular than it ever was when he was alive.

The cult of Sublime will more than likely not accept anything other than what they know and love as Sublime. A different voice. A different feel. A different band. Not Sublime, though. Because their music was so groove and feel oriented that anything else will just sound like a cover band.
