I,m really digging THE FLAMING TSUNAMIS at the moment. Ska Hardcore Punk is the best description, they really are extraordinary. An acquired taste though. Some people may find them too schizophrenic.

Mine in no order THE SPECIALS MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES THE TOASTERS SKANKT THE FLAMING TSUNAMIS (they do incorporate hardcore too!)

most the bands mentioned in this thread are technically ska-punk, but that's basically what the term 'ska' has come to mean

Three out of my five are just plain ska. I was hesitant to put THE FLAMING TSUNAMIS as they only have elements of ska. I'm surprised you have put REEL BIG FISH as they are Ska by numbers. I also like: Toyko Ska Paradise Orchestra. New York Jazz Ska Ensemble.
