I heard a few of their songs that were really good, but I haven't been able to find any of their **** online. I might just have to buy their cds, but that wouldn't bother me too much.

Also, the Crack Rock Steady deserves much respect. INDK is probably the best of the Crack Rock Steady bands (followed closely by CV), although they are extremely underrated and only have a couple ska songs.

Skindred

There's nothing punk, hardcore or ska for that matter about Skindred. They're poppy groove metal band, describe themselves as being "RAGGA PUNK METAL" because their lead singer is Rastafarian. Awful stuff

Anyways, I dig The Suicide Machines, even if I did only get into them because of THPS1.

Haha, I am listening to Leftover Crack right now...Life Is Pain!

I love Leftover Crack, Choking Victim, Morning Glory and OpIvy, haven't heard that other one though.

Its a shame, I say again, that LC, MG, and CV are anti-christian, if they just left religion out of their music (or became Chrsitian, which would be cool but seems unlikley)

Morning Glory is pretty good, but they get really repetitive. The songs that stand out are awesome though (Gang Control, Revolution Rock, Gimme Heroin, Tolerate, etc.)

I don't find it a shame that the Crack Rocksteady are anti-Christian. Christian bands are anti-nonChristians and not many people bitch about that. Preaching against the teachings of Christianity is no worse than preaching the teachings of Christianity. They have an equal right to hold their own views and express them in their music.

I'm not anti-Christian (only the fundamentalist ones), but living in the stronghold of the religious right I can see the evil that Chrisianity, and organized religion in general, is capable of, and therefore I can relate to the Crack Rocksteady's position. If you were persecuted by a group of people you would certainly take comfort in music that defies those ideologies. Thats pretty much the basis of punk rock.

Punk rock is not about being anti religious or anything really to do with religion. I have not heard christian music that is is antinonchristian music, but if i did, it would be a shame that those christians were so close minded. Id pray for them.
You should be a christian!

I love Gang Conrol and Gimme Heroine the best so far.

Which version of Gang Control do you like more? MG's or LC's?

I won't debate religion here, but I said punk is about lashing out at persecution (which can be from religious organizations), not being anti-religion. And when you tell someone they should follow your beliefs, you're telling them that their current lifestyle (not being Christian) is wrong, and that is being anti-non-Christian.

****, I did it.

I like Morning Glory's version better. I love the vocals, and the drum machine drums actually sound better for some reason. Plus <3 the intro. I also really like School Is Bull**** by Morning Glory. Pretty blunt lyrics, but I think the point is still made in a somewhat sophisticated manner. I love Ezra's spoken part towards the end.
