*bump*

Im not really one for ska usually, but I love this band. My favorites are "Sugar in your gas tank" and "The science of selling yourself short." Can someone recommend some similar bands (and please dont say Reely Big Fish).

I actually really like LTJ's music. "Overrated" and "The Science Of Selling Yourself Short" are all great songs, with great vibes. I always sing along to them everytime I hear them. They're not my favorite ska band, but they'r eup there. I think what they do, especially in today's music world is more unique than other bands.

Yeah, their newer stuff has been either mediocre or bad with the exception of Hello Rockview and Anthem. Losing Streak is my favorite as well. You should try Pezcore and Losers, Kings, and Things We Don't Understand. Both of those are almost as good as Losing Streak.

Less Than Jake certainly considers themselves ska and they at least have a heavy ska influence, though they are certainly not a traditional ska band. There earlier material was all ska/punk and there newer material is pop-punk. They appear to be working on another ska/punk album at the moment.

It won't be as good as the earlier ska/punk albums. I thjink like you said, the newer stuff is alot more pop punk-ish, I think once you turn pop punk, you can never go back to your roots.
